Nestled in the Garden of England, near Leeds Castle, Orchids was established in 1998 by Sharon Prior. She provides a unique tailor made service for clients searching for an interesting, creative culinary experience to fit their budgets.

All the food is homemade and prepared in Orchids’ kitchen. Sharon has catered for many different types of functions over the county, both private and corporate. These include lunch & dinner parties; funerals, christenings & weddings; cocktail parties & business lunches; full afternoon teas & hog roasts.

Sharon meets with her clients to discuss their requirements for their particular occasion. Ideas are discussed in detail to fit in with the venue, the overall theme of the event and the client’s personal ideas. The event, formal or informal, is always run in a calm, professional and efficient manner.  Sharon can provide furniture, tableware, linen and glasses and can assist with marquee hire if one is required.

Reliable staff can be organised too. The team have a ‘can do’ attitude, managing any last minute changes and difficult catering logistics without a fuss. Everything can be taken care of, allowing you to relax and enjoy the day without any stress or pressure. If you don’t require the full hosting service you may opt for only the food to be provided on the day.

Our menus are tailor made to meet the requirements of the clients. We create interesting dishes from locally sourced produce as much as possible to ensure freshness. Sharon has worked with her local butcher for years, plus local farms and a fishmonger who delivers fresh from Billingsgate Fish Market. All the suppliers are aware that only first class ingredients can be used. We focus on personal attention to detail and take pride in our delicious homemade food, also offering alternatives to guests with dietary requirements.
